ENCOUNTER YOUNG ADULT RETREAT

July 13-16, 2017

About Encounter

Encounter is a young adult retreat for ages 18-30. It takes place in a camp-like environment with young adults from all over Ohio and surrounding states who are chasing after God, want to learn more about discipleship and build relationships. It's a chance to un-plug from our screen-driven world and just have some fun!

What would happen if you decided to let your heart go? What would happen if you said "yes" to what God has for you and didn't look back? There's a risk..but go ahead; come to Encounter and see for yourself.

Free fall...it's worth the risk.

SESSIONS

It's been said that Breakouts are the best part of the Encounter weekend. They are structured to speak directly to issues facing young people, our culture and the church. This year we are offering six different sessions with participants choosing two to attend throughout the weekend. Selection will be made in your online registration form.

So...which two will you choose?

01.    Treasure Hunters

Digging deeper, exploring new paths and finding the gems in God's word. A breakout on how to get more out of your personal Bible study time.

02.  Mentoring Your Way Up

We want mentors in our lives and people to help us show the way, but who are you mentoring? Who and how can you help train up others while you are still growing in your walk with the Lord?

03.   Missions - What if you are called but don't know it?

God's plan to use you to reach the world. What if you are called to Missions but don't know it? Find out about discovering the call of missions on your life as a follower of Christ.

04.    Worship on Another Level

It's God's desire for us to be transformed into the image of His Son as our primary identity. THAT is the highest form of worship we can give. Living life to bend our will to the will of the Father and do as Jesus did. This is worship on another level.

05.           The Keys to Establishing a Kingdom Paradigm

Learn to establish biblical patterns of the Kingdom of God for your everyday life and how you can walk with God.

*These are sessions offered at Encounter 2017. Participants will select two on registration form.

06.   Leadership - A Title or a Towel

Which is necessary for authentic "doulos" (servant) leadership?

Jesus came to serve and give his life as a ransom for many. Discover the leadership practices of Jesus.
